I am creating this language, Germatik, which is a Germanic language, based on English, German and Dutch. The name is derived from the words "Germanic" and my name, "Matthew". The grammar is quite similar to English. As it is derived from modern Germanic languages, English being one, the language is also partly derived from Latin and Ancient Greek. It also takes a slight contribution from modern Slavonic languages, for example Russian and Polish. It is written using the Latin alphabet with some exceptions, although my wild imagination may dream up some alternative alphabets for Germatik in the future.
