Our Adoption Timeline.
 

November 28th 2005
We turned in our Preliminary Application to Kentucky Adoption Services, (KAS) and received Formal Application. Big Surprise to us.
December 5th, 2005
We turned in the Formal Application and picked up Home Study Packet. Another big surprise.
December 19th, 2005
We met with Lydia for our 1st meeting of the Homestudy. It went well and we received alot of information.
December 21st, 2005
We had our Individual Interviews and our home visit by Lydia today. It amazes me how fast things are going. God is leading this adoption. I could not have asked for a smoother experience.
December 27th, 2005
We completed our USCIS forms. We had our appointment with Immigration for fingerprinting and to turn in our paperwork. Hopefully this will fly by fast.
January 9th, 2006
We went and applied for our passports. They should be back in about 6-7 weeks. That is about February 20th.
January 16th, 2006
Our Dossier was turned into the agency with the fees. Now we are just completing the authenification process and waiting for the referral of our little one.
January 24th, 2006
WE HAVE A REFERRAL. Luis Enrique was born January 22nd, 2006 in Guatemala City, GT. He was 5 lbs 13 oz and 17.4 inches long. I can�t believe this. We are so excited and in shock. What more could we ask for.

Immigration Approval Received. YIPPEE!!!.

Dossier sent to Guatemala!!!
January 30th, 2006
We received our Passports 3 WEEKS EARLY!! God is watching over us and this child. He has this in his hands.
February 7th, 2006
Power of Attorney(POA) sent to Guatemala Embassy !
February 15th, 2006
POA received at KAS, sent to Guatemala City.
February 28th, 2006
DNA authorized
March 2nd, 2006
DNA taken should have results by end of March.
March 13th, 2006
DNA is a 99.99% Match! Now we are waiting on the Social Worker Interview (SWI) and Pre-Approval (PA). Come on PA, we want PGN!

We Received our Pre-Approval from the US Embassy in Guate.
