I've started framing the room in. The room measures roughly 13x18.

Here is the entrance to the Home Theater Room.

   

This picture looks toward the front of the room where the screen will be.

This one shows the back of the room. The space on the right is where the equipment rack will be located.

   

Notice the 2x4 on the floor, this will be where the faux ticket booth will be located which will conceal the equipment rack.

This is a shot of the area right outside the HT room, where the bar will be located.

Here I've started the wiring, and mounting the can lights.

Now we've got the electric hooked up.

More wiring and the temp wall I have up to give an idea of the ticket booth location.

 

Here is the ticket booth framed in and ready for drywall.

I've insulated and the HVAC guys have been in and replaced the metal ducts with insulated ducts and they have also installed the cold air return for the room.

Here is the room insulated, and the wiring for the project is almost completed.

More progress. The seating platform has been built!

And I've started the front platform and finished the radius curve.

What does 3/4 of a ton of sand look like? Just take a look.

Just added some Theater Shield.

Started framing for the screen and the front wall.

I've added the two side walls.

 

Wow, was I busy today. I've got the proscenium finished and the screen frame painted.

I've got the columns done and ready to cover with fabric.

We've started putting up the firing strips.

And now we've got the ceiling painted Moonlight Blue.

We've got all the firing up.

Here is the Equipment rack and column for the air intake.

I've got the first of 6 columns done and the side wall.

The speakers have arrived and I've set them up for a quick test.

Here are the back surrounds mounted and ready to go.

I've got all the columns covered and installed.

I've installed the 1/2 round on the stage area.

The Grafix Eye has been installed.

Well we finally got the screen up. It a 100" Stewart Greyhawk.

I've got the crown molding up.

Well we finally have a place to sit thanks to La-Z-Boy

Both ends recline for a very comfortable seat.

Well after 2 years of work. The room is 99.9% done. This will be the last update to this page. Thanks to everyone who's helped out with this project!
