| Side-less Pyramid Crayfish Trap |
| This trap looks like a pyramid without the four visible sides. See below. You will need: - lots of heavy wire. - netting - string (about 20 feet) - something really smelly to use as bait. Now, bend the wire to form a frame for your pryamid. Stretch the netting across the bottom and fasten it somehow. Now tie the string to the tip of the pyramid. There! Now you are done. The idea is that you put your smelly bait in the netting, lower the trap into the water, let it touch the bottom and wait. The crayfish will smell the bait, and crawl onto the netting. After ten minutes or so, pull the trap up by the string, and recover the crayfish. |
