Now
let's make the frames...

Again, I measured
the frames based on the blueprint, only using the patterns to check for
accuracy.
I used a guide and a circular saw to cut the straight lines, and a guide
and router for the curves. I'm on a roll!
I attached 3/4 x 1.75"
strips of fir to the sides of my frames, a little different than what
the instructions specified. Something about the 3/8" plywood ribs
remind me of a wooden knife, just waiting to hurt me. In addition, I think
a thicker "rib" would look better.
Every project needs a little "personality". If you use a guide,
make sure you keep your tool firmly against the guide or this will happen.
A little epoxy putty will take care of this...
Here I'm sanding the frames, getting ready for a coat of epoxy.
