DSL Damn Small Linux a really cool little OS that loads straight off a USB flash drive or CD. I downloaded the iso from The Linux Mirror Project and used bittorrent.

GTAGaming.com For Grand Theft Auto fans this is the ultimate mod website. Who wouldn't rather drive an Escalade than a Landstalker?

Knoppix Linux is a full featured open source OS that boots from CD or DVD.

Mozilla Firefox is the famous opensouce web browser and Thunderbird is the relatively new but excellent opensource, cross platform email cient.

openoffice.org The worlds best office suite, and its free.

Opera My personal favorite web browser it has everything you could want: speed, tabs, reliability and it is the only browser that supports mouse gestures.

Trillian the only IM client that I use. It unifies all of the popular IM protocols including AIM/IRC, YAHOO, and MSN in one easy to use program. Less madness more IM!
