A Year to Remember
(this was written as a Christmas present to the staff 1989)Now I'll tel you a story kind friend
about strange things we don't comprehend.
Our lives have been so exciting.
At times they have even been frightening.
There have been horror stories to tell,
This, all of us know all to well.
We go home and me try to relax,
But Jeff dreams all night of moose plaques.
After dinner Joan still hears the cries.
And Sue fantasizes about Scott's demise.
As you know Al does nothing but bowl.
Bob and Trish go and eat an egg roll.
Randall dreams of the perfect deer murder.
But Fred's life is even absurder.
He goes hunting and shoots of his finger.
Linda wonders why do I linger?
Martin dreams of a broken lawn mower.
Kelly has nightmares of residents who "know" her.
Becky hurts her arm during wild crazy sex.
Michelle and Mo sit home and neck.
Hugh sleeps and dreams of sewers.
Mary cringes as she sees phantom chewers.
These aren't ways to get relaxed.
You can see that our nerves get taxed.
We keep coming back here for more.
So this work can't be much of a chore.
There are others who think we are nuts.
No one can say our lives get into ruts.
There's a limit to what Barbara will read.
Now we work reinforce and succeed.©1989
