Part 29

"I just want to get out of here." Shawnie told Grant.
"Hey I just wanted to take you all to lunch before I left to go back home." Grant told her.
"You are leaving now." she asked him.
"Yeah I have to get back to work. I have a lot of cases that I put off so I could come here. I have to go back now." Grant said.
Shawnie smiled and gave him a hug and said "I will miss you."
"I will miss you also, now about lunch." Grant said.
"I really should call Skeet." Drea said to them.
"Oh yes make him come also." Grant said to her.
Drea called Skeet and told him to meet her and the others at the pool hall.
When they walked into the pool hall Max smiled and said "Well this is a real nice surprise. It is good to see ya again Grant."
"It is good to see you also Max. How was business going?" Grant asked.
The others left them to talk and found a table to sit down at. The waitress walked over to the table and took their order. Grant finally joined them when Skeet walked in.    Shawnie was whispering something to Josh when Grant said "Okay why have you all been so quiet?"
Shawnie looked at him and smiled but didn't say anything. She just went back to whispering in Josh's ear. Their food came and everyone started eating.    Shawnie finished her sandwich and was piecing on her fries when she cleared her throat and said "Grant I have to tell you something."
Grant swallowed and said "What is it?"
"I am training for the olympics." she told him.
"Really and why haven't you told me this before." he asked her.
"I didn't know if I was going to be able to at first." she told him.
"Why didn't you think you would be able to?" he asked.
"I thought we were going have to move, so I put it on hold until we figured it out. I didn't want to be training and then it back fires in my face so I just decided yesterday to start training for it. My coach is going be working me really hard and I think I can make the team." she said.
"Well I know that you can do it. You are really good at swimming. I will be there when you make it." he said.
"Thank you, but I don't know if I will graduate or not, because the try outs are going to take up most of my time." she said.
"I don't want you to fall back in school. You need to graduate if you want to go to college." he said.
"I know that, but I was also thinking that I could just graduate at mid term and still have time to train, I really want this." she said.
Grant reached over and squeezed her hand and said "I will be there for you what ever you do."
Shawnie smiled.
They were all thur eatting and were just talking small talk when some of their friends walked in. They all got up and left Grant at the table to go talk to them.   Grant sat back and smiled at how popular Shawnie and Skeet were. He knew he didn't have to worry about them at all because he knew that there were people there to help them out if they need anything.   Grant paid the bill and was talking to Max when they all came up to him and said that they were ready to leave. Grant said his good bye to Max and walked out behind them.
Shawnie and Josh got in his truck. Skeet and Drea got in his car and Grant was standing on the sidewalk staring at them. Shawnie rolled down her window and said "When are you going back?"
"I am getting ready to leave now, why?" he asked.
"I wanted to say good bye before you left" she said to him.
"Well I am heading to the airport right now." he said.
Shawnie got out of the truck and walked over and gave him a hug. He hugged her back and said "Don't worry I will be back in a couple of weeks. I just have to settle something back home and then I am going to take a vacation."
"Okay, you can stay at the house, don't go to a hotel." she said to him.
Grant started laughing and said "Okay I will do that."
Shawnie gave him a hug one last time and said "Bye Grant thanks for all of the help."
"Hey no problem. I would have done anything for you guys." he said to her and then kissed her forehead.
Shawnie got back in the truck and she waved to him.
"Good luck in school both of you." he yelled before they backed out and headed home.
Shawnie and Josh were the first ones home. Shawnie unlocked the door and tossed her keys in her purse and said "I think I am going to do some more laps."
Josh didn't say anything he just sat down at the bar. Shawnie started to head up stairs when she looked over at him and said "What's wrong?"
He looked at her and said "Nothing I am just tired is all."
"Are you sure? You act like it is more than that." she said walking over to him.
He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him and put his head down on her forehead and said "I am just tired. I didn't sleep as good as I thought I did."
"Why don't you go up and take a nap?" she told him.
"I think I will go for a swim if you don't mind." he said.
"Sure you can. Or we can go take a nap together." she said to him.
He leaned back and looked at her and said "Are you sure?"
"Yeah I can do laps later. I am a little tired also." she said.
She took his hand and lead him upstairs. She opened her bedroom door and walked in. When he was in she locked the door behind her. He smiled and said "What are you doing?"
"Taking a nap what are you doing?" she said smiling.
Josh started laughing and said "I like you kind of nap."
Shawnie started laughing and said "I just thought we could use some alone time together."
"I think we do to." he said to her.
She started getting undressed when he stopped her and said "Here let me do that."
Shawnie started laughing. She let him undress her she got on her night shirt and got in bed. It didn't take him very long before he was undressed and in bed beside her. She looked at him and smiled. He gave her a very passionate kiss. He moved down her neck. He kissed her throat. He kissed her shoulders. He had kissed every inch of her body before he made love to her.
He laid on his back trying to caught his breath. She laid her head on his chest and fell asleep.

They were woke up from Skeet pounding on her door. Shawnie got up and unlocked the door and opened it and said "What do you want?"
"I was just wanting to know if you wanted to order pizza with us or not." he asked.
"Yeah I will take one. I don't care which kind." she said.
"Okay I will just order a big one and we can all eat it." he said.
"Fine, whatever." she said as she shut the door.
