Part 27

"I overheard you and Skeet." she said softly.
"That is okay Drea." Shawnie said to her.
"I just want you to know that you are not alone in this." she said even more softer.
Shawnie looked up and stared at her and said "What do you mean?"
"I was raped also. I have never told anyone. You are the first person I have told." she said.
"Why didn't you tell anyone?" Shawnie asked.
"The same reason you did. I didn't want anyone to know." Drea said.
Shawnie walked over and hugged Drea.
Shawnie wanted to ask her who it was but she couldn't bring herself to ask. She didn't want to know that bad.    Drea pulled away and said "You want to know who it is don't you."
"I do, but I don't want to pry into your life." Shawnie said to her.
"I will tell you, but you will just get mad at me." she said.
"Why would I get mad at you?" Shawnie said.
"Because it is the same person." Drea said.
Shawnie looked at her with a stunned look and said "When did this happen?"
"Right before me and Skeet started going out." she said.
Shawnie looked away and said "We have to go after him together."
"I know we do, that is why I told you about it." she said.
Shawnie hugged Drea again and said "You have to tell your story to my uncle."
Drea shooked her head yes. They were intrupted by Skeet and Josh. They acted like nothing had happened. Josh looked at Shawnie and said "Are you going to help now?"
"Yes, after we eat first." Shawnie said as she pulled the casserole from the oven.
After they finished eating Drea cleared the table and did the dishes. Josh pulled Shawnie upstairs to help him unpack. Skeet waited for Drea to finish the dished before he pulled her into the den to watch television.    Shawnie started unpacking a box of clothes. She was putting the shirts on a hanger when Josh put his arms around her waist and whispered "I don't hang my shirts up."
"Well you should they will get wrinkled if you don't." Shawnie said.
Josh kissed her cheek and started in on a box of personal items.    When Shawnie had finished putting all of his shirts on hangers she started to put them in the closet. Josh watched her as she put them on the rack and started sorting them.   Shawnie glanced over at him and said "Shut up! You should have some sort of order in your life and I am the one to give it to you."
Josh bursted out laughing and said "I think I have enough order in my life just being with you."
Shawnie stuck her tougne out at him and went back to sorting his shirts.   They had unpacked all of the boxes. Josh laid back on his bed while Shawnie organzied everything in his room. When she was finished with that she was looking around to see if everything was in place when Josh grabbed her wrist and pulled her to the bed. He started kissing her neck when she said "Josh, I don't think we should do this."
Josh said "Why not?" in between kisses.
   "Because you just moved in and it is kinda akward." she said raising up and pushing him aside.
Josh looked at her with a stunned look. She had gotten up and walked over to the door. She was about to walk out when she turned around and said "I'm sorry Josh, but I just don't feel like it right now. Okay."
Shawnie could tell that Josh was feeling hurt but she had to stay focused on everything that was going on with Nate.   Shawnie walked into her bedroom with Josh following her. She walked over to her closet to get ready for a swim before bed. Josh sat down on the bed and said "What is wrong Shawn?"
"Nothing, I just don't feel like haveing sex right now. There is nothing wrong." she said not even looking at him.
"There is something wrong and you are just keeping it to yourself." Josh said to her.
"Josh there is nothing that I am keeping from you. I just want to go for a swim is that fine." she said as she went into the bathroom to change.
Josh waited for her to come out before he started talking again.
Shawnie walked out and Josh said "I just don't want me living here be ackward for you."
"It isn't ackward for me. Josh can we just drop this. I am getting real tired of talking about it." she said.
Shawnie walked out the room with that. She headed for the pool. Josh was following her. He still wasn't done talking. When they reached the pool Shawnie put her towel down and did a few stretches before getting in the water. Josh sat down in a chair and said "Shawnie you have something on your mind what is it."
Shawnie ignored him and finished her strectches. When she was done she put her swim cap on and got in the pool. Josh was getting mad because she didn't answer him. Shawnie got into position. She looked right at Josh and said "I have a lot on my mind and I don't want to talk about it, everyone has something on there mind. I can handle it myself. Now will you let me swim."
Josh threw up his hands and said "Fine, whatever."
Shawnie started swimming and let Josh walk away.    When Shawnie was done swimming she headed upstairs to get ready for bed. Josh had wrote her a note on her door. Shawnie riped it down and knocked on his door. He didn't answer so she went on in. He was laying on his bed asleep. Shawnie closed the door and went to her room. She went in to take a shower. When she got out of the shower Josh was standing in her bedroom doorway. He frightened her. She looked at him and said "You were asleep."
"I just woke up. We need to talk." he said.
Shawnie got dressed for bed and sat down on her bed and said "Okay let's talk."
"I need to know what is bothering you. I know there is something, but it seems like after I moved in you don't really want me here." Josh said to her.
"Josh it isn't that. I do have something bothering me and it isn't you. I can't really tell anyone about it. You have to just be patient with me please. I do want you here or I wouldn't have said you could move in here." Shawnie said.
Josh pulled her to him and said "Shawn, I don't want you to go through this alone. I will be here for you. I will do anything for you."
"I know that, but there is somethings that you can't help me with you have to realize that. I have to handle some things on my own. I know you want to help me but you can't with this one.   I have to handle this one on my own." she said to him.
Josh didn't say anything he kept holding her closer to him. Shawnie knew he was thinking about Nate but she didn't want to put more ideas in his head. She was laying there for so long that she had fell asleep. Josh went to talk to her again and when she didn't answer he looked down and saw that she was asleep. He didn't want to move her so he stayed there and went to sleep also.
When Shawnie woke up in the morning. Josh was still asleep. She got out of bed and went down stairs. She was the only one up. She had just put toast in the toaster when there was someone knocking on the door. She looked out the window and saw a police car along with a blue grand am. She walked over to the door. When she opened it up it was her uncle with Nate. Shawnie about slammed the door but her uncle said "Shawnie, we are here because Nate is going to trail today and he needs to say something to you."
Shawnie just stared at him.
Nate finally said "Shawnie I am sorry for what I did to you."
Shawnie looked at her uncle and then back at Nate and said "Is that it. What happened to you wanted it or I deserved it. I'm sorry but I want you out of my sight now and I don't ever want to see you again."
