Part 17

Josh looked at his parents and said "You are making a big mistake. I love Shawnie. I have loved her since I was fifteen. I finally got enough courage to ask her out, and she said yes. I was helping her out. She isn't a bad person. You are just pissed off that you caught us in bed together."
"Josh, please take me home. Don't do this while I'm here." Shawnie said pulling his arm toward the door.
Josh helped her with her bags.    She jumped up in the truck. All the way to her house they were both quiet.   When they got to her house Josh helped Shawnie take her bags up to her room. Shawnie turned Josh around and said "Josh, don't be mad at your parents. They are only protecting you."
"They were rude to you." he said.
"No they weren't. They don't want to believe that their son is having sex." she said.
He smiled at her and kissed her. She kissed him back and gave him a big hug.    When they pulled apart she looked up at him and said "Call me after you talk to your parents okay. I will see you tomorrow okay."
"I don't want to go back there yet." Josh said to her.
"You have to. You all need to talk. Don't worry I won't go to bed until I hear from you okay." she said to him.
She got up on her tip toes and gave him a kiss. He picked her up so they were even with each other. She started laughing.
He let her down. She looked up at him and said "I'll walk you to your truck."
She grabbed his hand and walked him to his truck. Before he got in the truck he gave her a very passionate kiss. She hugged him and watched him drive away. When she got back in the house Skeet and Grant were looking at her. She looked at them and said "What?"
"Oh nothing. What are you doing here? We thought you were stay until the end of the week." Skeet asked.
"Well I was, but I just thought that I should come home early." she said lying her butt off.
Skeet looked at her because he knew that she was lying. She started smiling and said "Okay you caught me. The truth is that his parents came home."
"And?" Grant said.
"And they walked in on us while we were asleep." she said.
"Go on?" Skeet told her.
"We were naked. Okay. Happy now." she said to them.
Skeet and Grant started laughing. Shawnie looked at them and said "Go screw yourselves."
That made them laugh even harder. Shawnie turned to leave and said "I'm going to do laps. So if Josh calls come and get me please."
"Sure thing." Skeet said to her laughing.
Shawnie went to the pool and went to get changed.   She was about to dive in when Skeet walked in and said "Phone is for you."
She answered it and it was Grant playing a joke on her. She threw the phone at Skeet and said "Be serious."
She turned around and dove in.   She was on her fifth lap when Skeet walked in and said "Josh is on the phone."
She grabbed the phone and answered it. She looked at Skeet and shooed him away.   When Skeet was out of the room she said "Hi, So how was your talk with your parents?"
"They are still mad but they will get over it. They want you over for dinner tonight." he said to her.
"What? I don't think I should go. They need time to get over me in bed with you." she said.
"No, they really want you over for dinner. They want to apologize to you for the way they behaved." he said.
"Okay, I'm not going to like it, but I will come for you. What time do you want me there?" she asked.
"Like sevenish. I will come and get you." he said.
"No I can drive myself. Don't waste your gas on me." she said.
"I want to come and get you though. I though we could go to a movie afterwards." he said.
"Well we can go to the movies afterwards, we can take my car." she said.
They talked some more before they finally said their good byes. Shawnie took the phone in the kitchen. She sat down at the bar. She looked around and said "Skeet come here."
Skeet came in the room and said "What?"
"Is Drea still here or is she at home?" she asked.
"She's at home. Her parents said that she had to stay home tonight. Why?" he said.
"I got invited over to Josh's for dinner and I don't know what to wear. I was wanting her opinion." she said.
"Call her and ask her." he said.
"No, I will figure something out." she said as she headed for the stairs.
When she got to her bedroom she saw what a mess it was so she started cleaning her room. She was so involved in cleaning that she had lost track of time. It was almost six thirty and she still didn't know what she was going to wear. She looked through her closet and finally dicided on jeans and a baby tee. She didn't have time to take a shower so her hair was frizzy. She put her hair up in a pony tail and headed downstairs. She told Skeet and Grant that she would be back later. She grabbed her keys and headed for her car. It was still hot outside so she put the top down on her car and headed for Josh's house.   When she pulled up she had to push a button to be let in.   When she pulled up to the house Josh was waiting for her. He met her at her car.   When she got out he looked at her and said "Wow you look really good."
"I hope I dressed right. I mean it couldn't be any worse than being naked, oh wait they have seen me naked." she said.
He started laughing and said "Will you relax. It will be fine. They never ask any of my girl friends over for dinner."
She looked at him and said "Why me then?"
"I don't know maybe they liked what they saw." he said with a smile.
She hit him arm and started laughing.
He put his arms around her waist and pulled her close to him and kissed her.    He led her to the house. When they walked in his mother greeted her with a hug and said "I would like to apologize to you for the way I acted before. I was rude. I'm sorry."
"That's okay I would be angry too if it was me. I'm sorry that you had to see it." Shawnie said.
"So let's eat then." his mother said.
Shawnie sat her purse and keys down on the coffee table and walked behind Josh to the kitchen.   Josh pulled the chair out for her to sit down and then scooted it up for her. He sat down beside her, his mother sat beside him and his father sat down beside Shawnie.    They said grace and started eating. After they were finished his mother cleared the table and his father said the he was going to go watch T.V. Josh told his mother that they were going to a movie and that he would be back later. She said "Okay see you later."
Josh and Shawnie went to her car. He looked at her car and said "Can I drive please?"
"Sure go ahead." Shawnie said as she handed him the keys.
Josh grabbed the keys and got in with out opening the door. Shawnie started laughing and got in herself. They headed to the movies. When they got to the movie theather Shawnie saw some of her friends, she went to talk to them. Josh walked with her. Her friends were smiling when they saw Josh with her. One of her friends pulled her to the side and said "Why is Josh with you?"
"We are going out." Shawnie said to her.
Her friend started jumping up and down. Shawnie grabbed her arm and said "Calm down."
They walked back to the group. Josh grabbed Shawnie's hand and said "Well do you think we should go in now."
"Yeah, I'll see you guys later." she said to her friends.
They walked into the movie theather holding hands.........................................
