Shawnie walked out the door. Josh was behind her. He grabbed her waist and said "I will walk with you, I need to get away from him for awhile."
"I told you that you need to talk, because you are messing up two peoples lives here. Mine and Rain's." she said.
"No I didn't love her anyway. I love you. River really helped me out thought by dating her, so that way I can go for you." he told her.
"What makes you think I want you now?" she said as she stopped.
Josh looked at her and said "What? You have been crushing after me for a long time."
"Josh do you even know why I'm here." she asked him
"No, why?" he asked.
"I'm here because someone is trying to kick us out of our house and make us move to Iowa. Skeet and I have been followed so we have to lay low and I have been staying here with River because I thought it was you. I feel so hurt right now that I don't know wether to scratch my watch or whined my butt. I am so confused right now. You weren't even surprised that I was here. Why is that?" she asked.
"I just thought my dreams had come true." he said
Shawnie rolled her eyes and said "Go talk to your brother. You have a lot to talk about."
Josh looked at her and said "I want to walk with you."
"Well I don't want you to walk with me." she said snottly
Josh just looked at her. Shawnie grabbed his hand and said "I really need time for all of this to sink in."
She raised his hand to her mouth and kissed them. She dropped his hands and walked away. Josh let her walk away this time. He walked back to the house. River was still sitting on couch. When Josh walked in he looked at River and said "What do you have to tell me about Shawn?"
River looked at him and said "What do you mean?"
"Shawnie said that we need to talk. So talk." Josh said.
"What do you want me to say? That she has a beautiful body, or she's great in bed. She really knows how to but on a condom with her mouth. Is that what you want to hear." River said with a smile.
"You son-of-a-bitch. I so want to beat the crap out of you right now. How could you say those things about her like that?" Josh yelled.
"What do you want to hear?" River asked
"I don't know. Why would be a good start?" Josh said.
"I already told you that I was getting her ready for you so I could take Rain from you. I didn't want to hurt her, hell I didn't even want to tell her, but she knew that something was wrong, and she wasn't going to give up until I told her. You know how she is." River said to him.
"Yes, I know how she is but she isn't stupid. What made you think that she would just go with me after I got home from California? When were you going to tell me about all of this?" Josh asked
"Well I wasn't planning on you coming back so soon and let alone come here of all places." River said.
"Why do you do this everytime I have a girlfriend or when I want a girlfriend? What did I ever do to you?" Josh asked him.
"I don't do this all the time. I only did it this time. All of your other girlfriends came to me because they liked me better or something. I never broke you up with anyone, but Rain. Rain is the one who came to me and told me to break you two up because she knew how much you like Shawnie. I didn't do anything." River confessed.
"What I don't believe what I'm hearing? How did Rain find out how I liked Shawn so muc.......? She read my jounral. I caught her reading my journal last month. If she knew why didn't say anything or just break up with me then." Josh asked.
"I don't you will have to ask her that one. I was only helping you. Why didn't you just ask Shawnie to go out instead of going for Rain?" River asked.
"Because I was scared that she would say no. I won't be surprised if she doesn't want to see me ever again, because of you and what you did." Josh said.
Shawnie knocked on the door. Josh and River looked over at the door and waved her in. She walked in and said "I'm going to get my things and go home. I don't need to be here right now. You both need to talk thing through and get every thing straight between you two."
She walked to the bedroom and started getting her clothes out of the closet. She threw everything on the bed. She grabbed her bag and started gathering all of her clothes and shoving them in her bag. Josh walked in and said "Shawnie, please don't go. You need to stay here because of you being followed. River already said that he was leaving."
"I think it will better if I go." she said to him with tears in her eyes.
"Please I beg you to stay. I don't want you to go. We have thing we have to work out together." he said.
Shawnie looked at him and then turned away crying. Josh put his arm around her tried to hug her but she pulled away. He tried again but this time he didn't let pull away. He led her tight.
"Shawnie, I'm sorry what he did to you. I would have never hurt you like that. Will you please stay." he pleaded.
"I will stay only on one condition." she said
"Sure anything." he asked
"You have to stay away from me. Don't touch me. I hate the both of you right now, but I hate River the most." she said.
"Hey no problem. I want you to know that I'm here for you when ever you need me." Josh told her.
"Thank you, but I just want to be alone right now." she said to him.
"Okay I understand." he said
She grabbed a towel and headed for the pool. She put on a suit and started doing laps until she couldn't swim any longer. She put her arms up on the side and rested. She heard the door open. She turned around and saw that it was River. She turned back around and said "I don't want to see anyone right now. Please leave me alone."
"I just came in to say bye. I'm leaving now. I also want you to know that I never meant to hurt you."
She didn't say anything.
"Well I better go now. Good bye Shawnie. I hope to see you again." he said as he turned to leave.
She let him leave without saying anything. She wiped her face and put her goggles back on and started doing laps again. She was so into her laps that she didn't hear anyone walk in. When she came up to the side to rest again there was Josh sitting cross legged on the side watching her. She jumped and screamed. Josh started laughing and said "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. I alway liked watching you swim. You swim with such ease. It's almost like you are a fish or something."
"Well at least you know that I was on the swimming team. River didn't know. I guess he didn't read that far in your journal." she said snotty.
Josh started laughing and said "I guess not. Do you mind if I swim with you?"
"It is your pool after all." she said as she was getting out.
Josh started stripping down to his boxers. Shawnie went over to the diving board and was about to dive in when Josh stopped her by saying "Wait, Let's race. I want to see if I can beat you."
"Okay I'm always up to a challange."
Josh ran over to the other diving board and started counting to three. On three he dove in while she stayed on the board. She waited for him to come up for air before she dove in and swam underwater until she caught up to him. She came up for air and started swimming like crazy. They were on their last lap when she just stopped swimming.
