Mastino came to Serbia for the first time, as to my knowledge, in the early seventies. That was the famous pair Elza and Ecio. They were imported from Italy by Mr. Ðorde Perovic, who was married with an Italian lady. Elza was by pedigree FANNI-ELZA Jr sp 70000 from father Priamo dell Vittoriale AG 11134 and mother Julia dell Vittoriale AG 5857. ECIO (see the picture) was Asso del Vittoriale from father CH. B. INT Desiderio AG 6352 and mother FRIDA AG 8113. Withal, this Mastino pair was the first Mastinos that earned the title of Yugoslavian champion, in the end of seventies. Before they were later sold to Czech, they produced few litters in Yugoslavia among which were singled out CAMILO od beogradskog gaja and Coccolo od beogradskog gaja CH.YU-1980. Camilo od beogradskog gaja, later in Czech gets a daughter ARTEMIS (see the picture), born 12. 03. 1983. at Mrs. Merion Jablanska from Bratislava, from whom I buy her and she becomes my first female that lived happily ever after with my first male Boža-Brik (see the picture) from 8 March 1993. From that female I learned a lot and Boža also, about Mastinos. Later, after Elza and Ecio, in Serbia came ALFIO della freccia nera and MINERVA della freccia nera, ETTORE della freccia nera and LORI della della freccia nera. BELA who later becomes the mother of my BOŽA-BRIK, is a daughter of ETORE and LORI.

CH. Boža-Brik "Epir"

In these beginning of the eighties Mr. Boban also imports from Switzerland FILYA di COLOSSEO AVALLY (see the picture) (from Mrs. Ljiljana Dendžer) who, as to my knowledge, gave her kennel a name Mastina Di Colosseo Avally, because she has seen for the first time Ecio and Elza below Avala (mountain near Belgrade) and she was breeding till that time cocker spaniels. I heard this story from Mr. Gajic Miroslav - cynological judge and one of Ecio's owners. Mr. Boban mates in Switzerland FILIY-C.AVALY with ARNO V.D.PIPERIO who was a son of ORACIA di PONZANA and PUDA dell Alte Flumana. From that combination comes a famous litter (four champions), wherefrom is also Boža-Brik's father –ARCI (see the picture). In famous american book about Neapolitans «THE OFFICIAL BOOK OF THE NEAPOLITAN MASTIFF» Mrs. Dr. Sherilyn K. Allen-owner of «Ironstone» kennel mentions Mastinos in Serbia of the 80-es with big praise.

In that time, late eighties and early nineties, few dogs were imported from Italy, Germany, and later also from Hungary (who I must say extremely damaged the motoric of our dogs). Dogs imported in that period left a trail in our further Mastino kynology. Most of all were pointed out CALA di COLOSSEO AVALLY, from Mr. Zoran Obradovic, then son of CALIGULE di Ponzano- Ario di Ponzano. Later from Germany was imported FEROX-Von der GROSSEN AUE (see the picture), who later become father of our SIMBA P.B. EPIR (see the picture) with BOŽA BRIK's best daughter (BEAUTY) (see the picture).

Because of raising popularity of Mastino’s and of the other Molos later, exactly 29.04.2000. was founded the MOLOS CLUB, where I was chosen for a president of breeding committee of all molos's, however the club didn't particularly enliven, so later on an initiative of Mastino's big fans, in Pancevo (see the picture), more precise 23.09.2000. was founded a Club-«BREEDERS AND FANS CLUB OF NEAPOLITAN MASTIFF» who is existing today in terms of its principles (consists of few dozen members) and it's open for new members and fans.
