Make a list
Make a list of your fixed assets or better yet
videotape the building contents for insurance claims. Document the make and model of big ticket
items (especially equipment) for insurance claims. You may already have much
of this information available in your fixed asset data.
Make sure your claim documentation
is updated regularly and store copies off-site. Have your insurance agent's phone number or
insurance company's claim office number on hand.
