What is Semi-Pro:
Semi-Professional cheerleading is a cross between the adult recreational type leagues and the profesional level leagues. Everyone involved is 18 years of age or older with MOST members of the team being 21+. It is a NON profit organization that often volunteers their time in the community. Those involved have generally played the sport in college. Usually small colleges, but a few larger colleges. If the players do not have college experience, they were generally the best in the area in high school.
The MSW Semi-Professional Cheerleading team is similar to an ALL Women All Star Team.....with a few exceptions:
~We are a NON Profit Organization
~We do NOT require tumbling
~We volunteer (as a team) for Community Service and Appearances
~We cheer at NEFL football games
~We perform college level pyramids and stunts at games and in Demo routines
~We perform dances at games and in Demo routines
~There is a fee to join the team for the season: it covers the cost of your uniform and some additionals. You can choose to pay with your own money or gather sponsorships through friends, family and business.

1. What is required to be on the team?
-Past cheerleading experience, knowledge of basic skills, 18 years of age by JULY
2. What is expected of me as a member of the team?
-To raise money for your uniforn and equipment
-To promote the Mass State Warriors Semi-Pro Football Organization
-To attend appearances and community events
-To uphold and attain a professional image as a MSW Semi-Pro Cheerleader
4. When are practices?
-Sunday evenings (usualy from 6-8pm) and one evening during the week ( from April through August)
5. Where are practices held?
-Golds Gym, Chicopee
-Nonotuck Road, West Springfield
-Granby High School
-Dance Studio, East Longmeadow
6. When are the games?
-Saturday nights. The home games start at 7pm. Away games vary in time.
7. Where are the HOME games held?
-The Arthur H Roberts Sports Complex in Holyoke (located next to Holyoke High)
-Away games are in Eastern & Central Mass as well as NH, ME and RI
8. What is included in my Sponsorship fee?
Shell, Skirt, Body Liner, Poms, Promo Shirt
9. How do I raise the money?
Use your Sponsorship Forms to target family, friends, place of work and local businesses.
