How I Got Started |

Well, my family is sort of odd. My Grandpa's brother is great with music, but my dad isn't really into like playing it and stuff. So, I guess in 5th grade I wanted to be in band and I started on trombone. I didn't really care for it ( I guess because it was hard) so then we moved to Arizona right in the middle of school year and I joined the band there. I played the baritone which is a very small tuba for two years until junior high came around and i played it for half the year. But in the middle of junior high seventh grade I saw a tuba player and he was huge. So i thought " why not I play tuba, I'm big and I love the low sound", so I aked my band teacher Mr. Louis ( GREAT TEACHER) and as a matter of fact had a tuba right there at the school. So now I'm playing tuba in the symphonic band (the real good band) and trumpet in jazz 8th grade. I love it. I started trumpet a few days ago because I thought tuba wasn't a very good jazz instrument, except for dixie, which we wouldn't ever play probably. Piano just happened to be a cool instrument to me so now I play on my keyboard. The accordion is new for me too I wanted to play it because my great uncle played and I guess it could get me some extra pocket change at parks and stuff.
Guitar is another story. One of my very close "grown-up friend" is a guitar player so I went over to his house and played his guitar. It was probably one of the best feelings a kid can have the vibration of the air waves from the amp coming through your ears like a train rumbling through a tunnel. So then we went shopping and looking at prices for guitars and finally found one at guitar center, Black and bluish silverpick guard, Gibson. It plays great!!
So That's how I got started!!!! |
