A Short History of the Mason-Dixon Lions Club

The Mason-Dixon Lions Club received its Charter at a meeting held October 26, 1930, in the Heaps Building, Cardiff, Maryland.

The Nineteen Members elected Robert E. Neely to serve as its First President.

The Quarryville Lions Club sponsored the new organization; and Mason-Dixon in turn has been instrumental in sponsoring three other successful Lions Clubs: Aberdeen, Darlington and Bel Air.

Early meetings of Mason-Dixon Lions Club were held at the Car Del Hotel in Delta and later at the Pen Mar Restaurant in Cardiff.
