The
marriage of Don
Paco and Doņa Gliceria Miranda bore five children, three
sons and two daughters. One of his sons,
Angel, himself a sugarcane planter and producer
installed a muscovado mill in his hacienda in Silay. He became a sugar
industrialist, was elected the first president of the sugar planters in
Talisay and its environs, and was elected municipal councilor of Talisay
for several terms in earlier days. He also saw the construction of the
Talisay Sugar Central in Talisay, Negros Occidental. According to information
gathered that Angel owned one of the biggest mansions in Talisay. Its
furnishings were imported from Europe. During World War-II the guerillas
set it on fire and the house was razed to the ground.
