After their death, some of their heirs instead of acquiring more land and expanding to several plantations disposed some portion of the remaining property they had inherited. Some heirs though were able to retain few hectares of the property. Some prominent migrant mestizo families from Iloilo leased some of their property and eventually bought them and within a decade they were likewise able to acquire more neighboring land and expanded to several plantations.

What was left of the individual property of the Don Paco and Don Ramon Mascuņana brothers were divided among their heirs, leaving no provisions to their other families whose children were born out of wedlock and philandering.
