Our Guiding Light
Upon the point the lighthouse stands,
Waves dashing at its base.
See there, the Keeper of the light
With worn and leathered face.

When stars are twinkling overhead,
The light shines out to sea.
To guide the ships through breakers high,
Caused by a stormy sea.

And like that light, Our Savior,
Keeps watch o'er you and me.
He calms the waters that we tread,
Just as He calmed the seas.

His feet are planted on the rock,
We never need to fear.
When waters toss us to and fro,
Our Savior's always near.

He never leaves us, never fails,
He comforts us at night.
And if we turn our lives to Him,
He'll be our Guiding Light.
