| Though born on Halloween/Samhain in 2001, Allison didn't join our family until February 2003. She is the daughter of Lacey Michna, and my son Michael Lewis. Michael was told of Allison in November 2002, and gained custody in February 2003. The foster mom was kind enough to provide some pictures (including the one on the left.) Other pictures of Allison's first year will be added as they are scanned in. |
| Allison's first day home was a bit traumatic. Everyone that knew she was coming home just "had" to be there. Of course, Allison didn't know what to make of it all...so she did the next best thing... She ran to "the lady with the juice cup!" (Which just happened to be me - Grandma.) After a few hours in her room, rocking with Grandma in the rocking chair, and having everyone come in (one at a time) Allison warmed up to the new faces. |
| Things quickly settled down for Allison, and she got to play with her step-sister, Alyssa, who was 4 months younger than Allison. With the cost of daycare so high ($130 per child at this age), Michael stayed home and took care of the children, and Mindy worked. |
