2004 Ups and Downs
Just after Christmas/Yule 2003, Allison's dad and step-mom broke up and Allison came to live in Grandma's house.
North Texas Irish Fest 2004 was full of animals, food, dance, and good music.  The weather for Irish Fest is often unpredictable, but for Allison's first year at it, the weather was nice, warm and sunny.

(Right) The animals at the petting zoo (at NTIF 2004) may some day recover Allison's rough handling.  Here, one of the staff holds a baby duck for Allison to pet.
Scarborough Faire was full of adventure this year.  Starting out on Easter weekend, with temperatures below freezing and the entire family with only summer type gard.  Needless to say...Allison went to a sitter for her Easter Egg Hunt instead of coming to faire that weekend.
As faire progressed, Allison did, of course, join the children's group and tour the faire in her own Ren garb...sometimes with more success than others.
Sakeeta and I (upper right) were working the Horn Shoppe.  Alicia's schedule only allowed her to come vist faire a couple days, but someone got this phenominal shot of her in our upstairs balcony (upper left).  Above center is April dancing the May Pole (on one of her breaks from the store she was working in.
For one weekend, my niece, Veronica came down to visit us at faire.  To the left is Veronica with Alicia.  Both are wearing outfits made by Sakeeta.
Allison, below here, is out with the other kids, and Ms. Jenny, their teacher.
Valentine's Day was a totally new experience for Allison.  SNOW!!! And LOTS of it!
