Bay Library! The Librarian told me about the Whitefish Bay Library. |
In 1937 the Whitefish Bay Library opened in the basement of the Village Hall. In 1955 the existing Whitefish Bay Library was built at its present location. In 1956 when the books were moved from the Village Hall to the new Library, the High School and Jr. High students helped carry the books. In 1993 the Library had about 45,000 books on its shelves. In June 2001 the Library is starting to build an addition for $5.5 million dollars to make it bigger. If you come to Wisconsin you should check out the Library. |
