Some people have beautiful love stories but I must say that ours is unique and special. Yes, like every girl I was still waiting for my Knight in Shinning Armour to come and steal my heart away. Well my Knight did come in Full Shinning Armour!!! Here's the story...
It was a beautiful summer night. I was invited to go to a Firefighter's Fund Raise dinner-party under the Brooklyn Bridge. I thought it was cool to have a dinner-party outdoors, especially under the Bridge. Lots of my friends were there and we were having a great time. I was standing in the middle of probably 500 people or more when I first saw Collin. He was wearing his bunker guear... and I think that's sexy. ;) He was standing there with a couple of his friends. He looked a little shy and mysterious and... ok ok... I'll say it... He looked Good! LOL... They were working the "night shift" and decided to come by for a few minutes and say hi to some friends.
I wanted to say hi but I was thinking to myself... what if he is married? or has a girlfriend?... what if he doesn't like me?...or worst, what if he is gay?...LOL. But my friends insisted I should go say hi and dared me...
Well, I did it. I was brave and went up to him and said "Hi". He looked at me and said "Hi". We just looked at each other... I was hidding my nervousness with a big smile and he was smiling right back at me... lol. I introduced myself and so did he and we talked for a little bit. He then, was called to leave. He looked at me and asked me if I wanted cookies and ice cream... I said sure. He said, "Well you have to come with me on the Rig" (firetruck). I thought he was kidding but I said "Sure! Let's Go! On the way to the firetruck we found my girlfriends, so we all went to the truck. It was exciting. Believe it or not, I got my ride on the Firetruck. The driver even hit the sirens and lights!!! It was fun.
When we got to the firehouse Collin gave me and my friends some cookies and ice cream. Collin was very polite. He showed us the firehouse and the truck. We talked and laughed, cracked a couple of jokes and he asked for my number. We had a great time that nite, but the alarm went off and he had to go. It was nice to see him rush into his bunker guear to go on the run! Anyways, like a typical guy, Collin thinks my writing style is too girlyish so he is hoping the guys at the firehouse don't read this.... lol... in my opinion, many of the guys in the firehouse can only wish for a story like this! ;)
Well, our little adventure began from under the Brooklyn Bridge on the Firetruck on our way to the Firehouse for some cookies and ice cream and we ended up falling in love!
After that nite, Callin called me every single day, til today. He has not missed one day without calling me and letting me know that he loves me. I love him too. I am so happy I found a friend, my true love that night, under the Brooklyn Bridge. I now can say that Knights still come in shinning armour. :) Well, in my case, in Shinning "Bunker Guear".
