Dear Comrade Pedro: I just got in from the airport and wanted to send you an email as soon as I could. Sorry for the lack of warning, but the matter in Bolivia came up rather suddenly, and required my immediate and personal attention. Luckily I was able to settle matters from my hotel room, so I spent much of my time resting. And, to my continued surprise, a payment from the Ladies of Good Cheer has arrived early, and with a substantial performance bonus. My bank account is very happy indeed. (This I threw in just in case dear Dr. Pedro had decided to wash his hands of me) Please let me know how things are progressing on your end. Regards,
Hargrove
