After graduation I continued working at Blums and attending church regularly. Even went to Newark Bible School evening classes. I took the Personal Evangelism class on how to win others to Christ. Having gone to church all my life and knowing that Christ died for my sins, I had never till that point accepted Him as my Savior. So, in the summer of 1947, walking to the bus after work I asked Christ to come into my heart. How many people are saved walking to the bus? For about a year I attended Beulah Church across the river from Newark, in Kearny (later the First Evangelical Free Church). Then returned to Park Avenue Baptist in Newark. I was now the Sunday School teacher of the girls I used to have in my old sewing class. Since the church was so small I was the girls teacher from the time they were about 10 right up to through their high school years. Also had charge of the Young Peoples group and had my activities with the girls. My cousin, Marlene, was one of the girls, and Judy, who later became a Missionary, was also in my class.
