I have spent some time this week listening to the Elizabeth Maconchy programs on radio 3. As is usually the case when I told something is really good  I do not find the music as impressive as the commentators tell me I ought to. I wondering whether there is something wrong with me or the British music establishment!

I will go  to 'listen again' and think again.
