This is a marina in Islamorada that a freind of ours used to manage. We put our boat in the water here on this trip. I thought you would enjoy the beautiful landscaping. The last time I saw it was about 10 years ago and all the plants were just small babies. I enjoyed seeing how beautiful it had become.
This is an old friend of ours cutting fish and feeding birds in Islamorada. I love the birds in the Keys.
This is our good friend Dusty on his pride and joy the Duga. Dusty has been working on the steel haul sail boat for as long as we have known him, which is close to 20 years. He has traveled around the world on this boat. We tied up next to his boat and spent the night on our boat here. It was great to see Dusty again and get to spend time here.
Here is Dusty's neighbors makeshift dock. Tara lives on her sailboat here, but her boat was pulled out to have some work done on it. I thought she would enjoy having a picture of her dock and her dog. The picture came out looking like a painting to me. I might try to do a painting of it sometime.
To continue on to see our campsite at Bahia Honda State Park...
