YOU HAVE BEEN DESCRIBED AS FRIENDLY… JUST WHAT DO YOU MEAN ?
To me, there's no such thing as a stranger… just a friend I haven't made yet (let's not forget when the door bell rings I am always the first to greet visitors).
I am generally very good with children and I have an instinctive tolerance for children's rough play without being aggressive (I am also quite strong and am not easily injured).

ARE YOU INTELLIGENT ?
I don't want to brag, but we are really quite easy to train. Many of my Wheaten friends have earned their CD, CDX, and even their UTILITY and we excel at tracking too. After all, remember that we used to be known as another hand on the farm and as an excellent hunting companion. And being Canadian, I should point out that we are trainable in the two official languages!

ARE YOU EASY TO CARE FOR ?
I certainly do my part, I shed very little (which is said to be one reason I am considered to be a hypo-allergenic breed), and I don't have that "doggie" odour either… but I'm very fussy about my appearance. I like to be neat and properly trimmed, otherwise I look like a small blond sheepdog. You will have to brush me regularly to prevent matting and keep coat shiny. I really enjoy this grooming period and regard this as a bonding time between my master and me. I need a moderate amount of exercise, which I can get all by myself in a fenced in yard, but I'd much rather play or take a walk with you around the neighbourhood to meet friends and keep abreast of what's going on around town !

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER YOUR IDEAL HOME ?
I really appreciate my own little corner in the house since, as much as I love the snow and generally play outdoors, I prefer to sleep indoors. I also love long walks, cross-country skiing, playing ball, and I never say no to a car ride… ever ! Many of us enjoy swimming and diving for rocks in shallow water.

WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR QUALITIES AND SOME OF YOUR FAULTS ?
My first quality is that I am non shedding (hypo-allergenic) which makes me ideal for most humans who suffer from allergies. I am quite intelligent, affectionate, fun-loving, faithful and sociable with other dogs and even cats. My only fault that comes to mind is that I may be a little too sociable with humans… but I honestly believe that this is my only short-coming…
