Peanut did the above trick
as though
it was his thing, and not our trick.
Sometimes he'd come over and just
start it himself with an out reached paw.
We are going to miss his daily
duties.
Every evening when Deb got home from
work, Peanut would bark at her and head for the
front door, come back, and nudge her leg and bark
some more if she acted like she was ignoring him.
After all it was now time to go "check the mail".
If you wanted to go out and check for it
without him.. you would have to spell-out
"I am g-o-i-n-g to c-h-e-c-k the m-a-i-l".
Once you "said" mail, Peanut was going
to check it.
Around here, one could not go for
a walk.
We had to go for a "w-a-l-k". Same with
just about "going" anywhere. It became
I'm going for a "r-i-d-e", and how about us
going to the "l-a-k-e" today. Of course our pal
always went with us. It's just you could not "say"
go until you where really ready to g-o!
Our ol friend went for his final
"r-i-d-e"
today.. excuse me for a little bit..
"Anyone wanna go for a walk?"
