| 27 April 2004 We had a beautiful day to visit the Great Wall of China. We also went shopping and bought a really nice piece of jade and cloisonn�. We also went to the pearl store and spent more money there too. Ma�la was babysat today and it went very well. She seemed very calm and happy when we returned. So everyone is doing well. Tomorrow we are going to visit the Forbidden City |

| 28 April 2004 We had a very nice day to visit of the Forbidden City, not too hot and not too cold. Our daughter took another big step today, she now accepts being in the stroller. This gives Daddy a nice break. She also accepts sitting in the high chair at mealtime. Mommy and Ma�la are doing better every day. Everyday it is getting better and better. Ma�la is now a happy affectionate darling. She loves being hugged and kissed and accepts them from both Mommy and Daddy. Tomorrow is a free day. We could have gone in the Old Beijing but decided we wanted to sleep in. We will do some shopping and explore Beijing on our own. We are having a very nice time now that Ma�la has settled in with us and we are feeling more and more like a family. |

| 27 Avril 2004 Nous avons eu une tr�s belle journ�e pour notre visite de la Grande Muraille de Chine. Nous avons aussi fait un peu magasinage. Nous avons achet�s un beau morceau de jade et un vase de cloisonn�. Nous sommes aussi arr�t�s au magasin de perle d�eau douce et nous avons d�pens�s encore. Ma�la a �t� gard�e tout la journ�e par une nounou chinoise et elle a tr�s bien r�agie. Elle �tait calme et heureuse � notre retour. Elle �volue tr�s bien. Nous allons visit� la Cit� Interdite demain. |

| 28 Avril 2004 Nous avons eu une autre tr�s belle journ�e pour la visite de la Cit� Interdite, pas trop chaud et pas trop froid. Notre fille a fait un autre grand pas aujourd�hui, elle a accept�e de rester dans le pousse pousse. Ceci donne un peu r�pi � Papa. Elle accepte de s�assoire dans une chaise haute pour les repas. Maman et Ma�la vont tr�s bien, il ont maintenant une belle relation, mais Papa est toujours le chouchou. Ma�la vas tr�s bien. Elle est une petite (grosse) fille heureuse et tr�s affectueuse. Elle adore les caresses et les bisous de Maman et Papa. |

| Mario a eu une petite aventure aujourd�hui au mur de Chine. Nous �tions sur un des paliers d�observation quand j�ai vu que Mario ne me suivait plus. Je me suis approcher et j�ai vu qu�il avait le pied de pris dans une crevasse. C��tait vraiment pris! J�ai essay� de l�aider mais sa bottine ne bougeais pas. Finalement deux soldas chinois qui ont vu la sc�ne sont venu investiguer. Ont est devenu nerveux quand ils ont sorti leur matraque! Mais ils s�en sont servis pour aider � Mario � se d�prendre. Mario semblait quelque peu g�ner!! Mario had quite the adventure today at the wall of China. We were at an observation site when I noticed that Mario was no longer following me. I turned around to notice that his foot was caught in a crack in the wall. He was really caught! I tried to help him but his boot would not budge. Finally two Chinese solders noticed the commotion and came to take a look. We got a little worried when they took out there beating sticks! But they finally used them to help Mario free his foot. He was definitely embarrassed. |
