Routine maintenance

Routine maintenance occurs when the work is being carried out on hardware which may not actually be broken. Performing this type of maintenance can be ensured that there will be no further problems by keeping the equipment in good working order.

Fault repair

Fault repairs discovered in a piece of IT equipment, the technician has two basic choices; you can either replace or repair the faulty equipment. Replacing hardware components is a common fix but in tight financial times & repairing the fault may be preferred.
