Free Software

Open Office

A great replacement for MS Office, too many features to list here so just have a browse of its site
Open Office.org

CutePDF

A free PDF creation tool, very useful if you are teaching DiDA and do not wish to pay for another option. Note that you may not need this if you use Open Office (above) as this contains pdf functionalitty already.

Wink

Wink will record your actions on screen and then export them to flash files for viewing in any browser. Great for demos for your students to pull off a shared area.
