21 Years of Mario
The Games
It all started with one man, a man who would change the history of the gaming industry forever.  His name was Shigeru Miyamoto.

Mario first appeared in the 1982 arcade hit Donkey Kong. After that, he became an instant success, and Nintendo started shooting out Mario games, with him as the lead character. With the invention of the new Nintendo Enertainment system, the possibilities were starting to become endless. there were already  quite a few mario games for the NES. Then Nintendo had anoter great success. The Super Nintendo. The 16 bit capabilities of this wonder are unbelivable (for its time ;) ) and the games started coming. With the upgraded graphics, and bettre gameplay (in some cases) Nintendo thought that nothing could get any better. But around 1996, It had been a long time since a new system came out. But they didnt want 2-d graphics anymore. They wanted 3-d. Production of the new nintendo 64 system with a staggering 64 bit processor, Nintendo had truly became the best gaming company of all time. Super mario 64 was the first ever game for the system and it was a huge  platform game (duh) with Incredible 3-d graphics and state of the art sound. Mario had taken anothre huge step forward. But 8 years later he took the biggest step of all time. The step that crushed all lowly mortals and weaker video game systems and left them in little smoking pieces. The Gamecube. Nintendo had once again become bored with the N64 and wanted better graphics and a better, 128 bit processer.  But there was a big change. The gamecube would use discs, like Sony and sega. but not ordinary discs, mini discs. Like half the size of regular discs. They used smaller discs beacuase they wanted to make the gamecube smaller and more portable. Then they created supre maro sunshine. Equipped with a water pack and all new moves, Nintendo gave what we had been craving for 8 years. But this is likely not the last step in the Nintendo Mario games. Until next time, Justin
