This is my first attempt at creating my own webpages so please forgive me for any mistakes I have made!
About me: My name is Christopher Thompson. Im 23 years old and live in Wolverhampton in the West Midlands. I work locally at the head office of a well known national firm.
My main interest is playing the organ and am organist at Allen's Rough Methodist Church in nearby Willenhall. I am very proud of my Compton organ I have installed in my lounge which you can see in the photo. This organ was built in the 1950s by the famous John Compton Organ Company Ltd and unlike electronic instruments of today, uses the electrostatic principal by means of 12 rotating discs housed within the console. Anyone who wants to find out more technical stuff should find my section on "the Solihull Compton organ" very interesting.
My favourite singers are Doris Day and Vera Lynn. You probably think its unusual for someone my age to like such old music but I find the music of these 2 singers very emotional and inspiring which, to me, is what music should be all about.
