| Heya there! Welcome to my page I have chosen to call "Denise's Kitchen". Here you will find some of my favorite recipies. I myself am more leaned toward baking, however there are some non-baked recipies here. So sit back, grab a hot cup of coffee and read on! |
| Denise's Favorite Dark Chocolate Cake |
| 1 1/3 cup of flour 3/4 cup of cocoa 2 cups of sugar 2 teas. baking powder 2 teas. baking soda 1 teas. salt 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/2 cup of vegetable oil 2 1/2 cup of vanilla 1 cup boiling water (optional) 1/4 teas. cinnimon 1/4 teas. of nutmeg |
| Grease and flour you cake pan well. Preheat oven to 350. Combine all dry ingredients, mix well together. Then add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Mix it until if becomes smooth. Add the cup of boiling water and continue to mix. (note: batter will be thin) Pour slowing into cake pan and smooth evenly. Bake for 35-40 min. Remove and let cool. (Best frosted with Denise's Glossy Chocolate Frosting) Eat and Enjoy! |

| 2 cups flour 2 cups sugar 2 teas. baking soda 1 1/2 teas baking powder 1 teas salt 2 teas. cinnamon 1 1/2 cup vegetable oil 4 eggs 2 cups freshly grated carrots 8 1/2 oz. can crushed pineapple (drain pineapple first) (walnuts are optional) |
| Grease and flour you cake pan well. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all dry ingredients together first. Add oil, eggs and mix well. Add carrots and pineapple. Bake for 30-40 min. until cake comes loose from the sides of the pan. Set aside to cool for about 30 min. (Best when frosted with Denise's Carrot Cake Spread) Enjoy! |

| 3/4 cup butter or margarine 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 eggs 1 teas. vanilla 2 cups flour 2 teas. baking powder 1/2 teas. salt 3/4 teas. cinnamon 1 cup old fashioned oats 1 1/2 cup raisin bran 1 bag of chocolate chips 1 cup walnuts |
| Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 3 or 4 baking sheets. Cream butter, sugars and vegetable oil together until fluffy. Mix in eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, salt. Add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats and raisin bran, and choclate chips. Add walnuts last. Back 11-13 mins. or until bottoms are lightly brown. Let cool a few minutues, before eating...Enjoy! |

| Mayonaise Cake 1 cup of maynaise 1 1/2 cup sugar 1 teaspoon baking soda 3 teaspoon baking cocoa 1 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla 2 cups flour a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg (walnuts optional) Mix dry ingredients together, then add water, mayonaise and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Pour into greased and floured baking pan. Place in preheated 375 degrees oven and bake for about 25-35 min. Frost with desired frosting and enjoy! |
