11 April - Marianne shall start her own commercial Team. She has left DSB because she was not happy with trainer Leen Pfrommer. A sponsor has to be found. A trainer is found, his name is Wopke de Vegt.
4 Mai - Johan Röljer from Sweden and Pavel Zygmunt from Polen will join the Team.
16 June - 75 Dutch sportspeople, who may go to the Olympic Games, go to St. Moritz for a training camp. The group excists of ice-skaters, snowboarders and so on. It is a good way to get to know each other.
27 June - Marieke Wijsman has been added to Team Timmer. The Team has now a manager(Bert van der Tuuk), a physio(Jasper Smeenge), a doctor, a trainer and three team members. It was hard for to leave DSB she says in an interview. A sponsor has not been found so far.
6 September - Team Timmer stops to excist.
7 September - Marianne goes to Spaar Select, the Team of trainer Peter Mueller. The reasons are that she couldn't find a sponsor(a sponsor should have to pay 3 million) and rumors go that she is in love with Peter Mueller.
21September - A press conference at Spaar Select. When the relationship between Peter Mueller and Marianne Timmer is over, her contract is over and she has to leave the team. She gets a salary that is less than the money she earned by DSB. Rumors go that Marianne has been married to Peter Mueller(according to her father). Marianne wouldn't say a thing about it, only about skating and not about her private life.
22 September - There is good hope that the former team members of Team Timmer will be financially compenstated. Only Wopke de Vegt waits for a good offer.
