I am the Administrative Assistant to the President/Director of Operations of a non-profit organization, who is seeking a full-time position. I was promoted to this position in October 1999 from Front Desk Coordinator. Prior to being promoted my duties were limited to keeping the front office orderly and answering the telephone. Now as the Administrative Assistant, I type proposals from scratch, newsletters, memos and other documentations when needed. I create PowerPoint presentations and Excel spreadsheets that include graphs and charts. I make all necessary arrangements for travel, as well as, set up appointments and meetings, take minutes, order necessary supplies, prepare packages and letters for shipment with UPS, USPS and FedEx. I utilize several different office machines, including the fax, copy and stamp machine, a personal computer and all equipment that accompanies that, a scanner, binder, digital camera and web camera. Before this I was a part-time Student Help Desk Specialist from September of 1999 to October of 2000. There, I assisted people in using various applications over the telephone and in person. Besides being an Assistant I haven been a Receptionist/Administrative Assistant, a Job Developer and Deputy Clerk for Cook County�s Circuit Court. I have a little over six months experience as an Inventory Specialist, where I took inventory and audited for Washington Inventory Services from the summer1996 to the spring 1997. I have several years experience with using IBM compatible personal computers. I have taken different courses that have enhanced my computer application abilities; as well as, assisted and tutored students, faculty, and alumni in using various applications. I am proficient in using Microsoft Professional Office �97 and 2000. I have experience in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook and Corel WordPerfect 9. I am known for my promptness, attentiveness, dependability, hard work and dedication. I have a proven track record for getting the job done in an orderly and timely manner. I am looking for a position that offers room for professional growth and that will challenge me.
