Tarot or Not to Tarot???
I have been reading Tarot for a little over a year now and I'm still learning. The first thing I tell everyone that I read for is "I am not going to tell you anything that you don't already know." You may wonder WHY read the cards then, well the truth is... knowing something and being AWARE of that knowledge are two seperate things. I don't ask questions about your life or your situation, to me that smacks of a phoney. I simply tell you what I see in the cards and you will decide whether it is meaningful or helpful. It's a valuable tool for insight. Tarot readings are used to help you to gain insight in a particular situation, issue, or relationship. To present questions for you to ponder, and to help you understand what may come to be given your present circumstances. I cannot predict your future or "tell your fortune", but I can help you to see what options are open to you, what paths to take towards enlightenment and happiness, but ultimately the cards choose you and whether or not you choose to listen to them is up to you.

The High Priestess The High Priestess (or the female pope as she is sometimes represented) is associated with the number two, symbolizing duality and balance as well as the polarity of opposing forces. The lunar images portrayed in this card, demonstrate her strong connectin with the moon. The pomegrantes connect the High Priestess to Persephone, Greek goddess of the underworld and allude to hidden riches in the unconscious mind. She symbolizes the nurturing of spiritual wisdom and knowledge and indicates that our potential needs to be brought to light. She represents the feminine power of insight, which acts as a guide to our deepest self.
Death Most people misinterpret the meaning of the death card. I myself have only come across it in two instances where it specifically referred to a person's death or a grave illness. The Death card is the harbinger of change or of transformation. It symbolizes an opportunity for while a new beginning. As an old aspect of life changes or expires (dies) a new one will begin (rebirth). How we respond to this card depends greatly on how willing we are to let go of the past and embrace the future. The death card is a reminder that everything in nature is subject to cycles of death and renewal; it is a reminder that everything that has outlived its purpose must eventually be discarded. This card marks the transition from one state to another.
