Today we launched the site. We are incredibly proud to have a new internet presence. I will be working alongside Adam to keep you informed and up to date. At the moment we are working to bring you a collection of stills from " Letter to Brezhnev" On the DVD, which was released in October this year, I was invited to do a full commentary of the film, the idea we are playing with right now is to bring you some captions for the film stills, just like the commentary - for those of you without a DVD player! Also, after Christmas I will be rummaging through my bits - as you know I never go anywhere withoout me bits! Rummaging to find some mementos from my career to share with you. I do have a scanner, but when it comes to using it, I am not gifted! We have all sorts of ideas for the site, my last site did get lots of attention and we are hoping that this one does as well. In the new year I will be doing you a video message, and I am sure we will be having web chats too. Adam is very willing and keen to expand the site, you will have to let me know your thoughts and if there is anything you would like to see on the site. Christmas is nearly upon us, so although we will be working on the site it may not receive our fullest attention. I would like to send you all my very best wishes for the festive season. I hope you get all you wished for.

KIRKBY-BORN actress Margi Clarke joined pupils from Churchtown Primary School to promote adoption among older children, at the Botanic Gardens on Monday.Margi, best known for her appearances on The Good Sex Guide, Making Out, and as Angie Dobbs in Coronation Street, led children in a lantern procession organised by Sefton's Children, Schools and Families Service as part of National Adoption Week.After the procession, the youngsters floated candles on the lake. Each candle represented a wish from a child with a family, that another child would find an adoptive home.Margi, who has two children of her own aged 11 and 25, told the Visiter: "I had a really good upbringing, with a coal fire and a lovely break-fast every morning. We didn't have any money and there was 10 of us, but we were raised with love and that's so important in a child's life.
"This is a cause that's very close to me. If my house was big enough, I'd adopt children and raise them myself. Anything that people can do to open their doors is brilliant.
The 49-year-old, who still lives in Liverpool and has just made a new film, School for Seduction, added: "It's so important that these children are given a break. Their childhood is the cornerstone of their development."
Sefton has 120 children who would benefit from permanent fostering or adoptive placements. This year the Children, Schools and Families Service is focusing on older children and sibling groups looking for families, due to the large number of people coming forward to adopt babies.Dina Nixon, from the Service, said:
"Everybody wants a baby. We're not discouraging them, but we are asking people to think about the older children, sibling groups and children with special needs - you could have a ready-made family.We are looking for warm, genuine people and all you have to be is over 21. Each person will be assessed individually."
