The People of StarBase Leviathan.

StarBase Leviathan started life on October 3rd, 2000. It was founded by a Year 11 at Shenfield High School, Patrick Burgess, whose simming persona was Fleet Admiral Patrick Putney, a supposed Section 31 operative. The first ship to be active, the Infinity, was crewed by Shenfield High School Year 11 pupils Jonathan Nobbs (Jonathan Matthews) and Neil Dorrington (Neil Munro). Michael Baker, who was insane, Richard McKeen, an Australian, and Jess LaFleur, a Canadian, also starred.

Soon they were joined by a Vulcan (Stygar) and two who never simmed (Tuvin and Sybol). Then the people left StarBase Leviathan, their characters were killed and only LaFleur survived to transfer to the Rutland.

James Sudbury (James Sudders) and Jacques Malan (Martyn Sharkey), both Year 11s, were also members from the beginning: Sudders should have commanded the Storm but it never left spacedock and Sharkey got stuck in a desk job on Space Station Copernicus Cluster 2 (CC2).

As for the Rutland, it started life crewed by the Admiral and a couple of others; Dawn Hazle (Jora T'brun), a Sixth-Former, Matthew Wilson, another Year 11, and Doctor Shapiro the LMH. Shortly they were joined by an Essex student playing the Klingon security officer Martyn and Jon Nobbs' second character, Foster. Sharkey joined in on The Rutland before the joint Infinity/Rutland mission which saw Sudders' only appearance. The LMH had since stopped playing and his character was replaced by Vladimir Malgin, a Russian with little knowledge of Star Trek, but great interest. Martyn had also gone AWOL and Foster, though his player was still around, was being very quiet.

The coming of CC2 Log saw most of the Infinity players mostly disappear and the Rutland crew was down to T'brun, Putney, Malgin and Sharkey. Dawn Hazle had also taken over a large proportion of the management. At the end Philip King, the other Sixth-Former, joined and also took a hand in management. Soon after Namar Gex joined as XO of the Rutland and things were fairly stable for a while.

Stable, but little was happening. Jess LaFleur had joined the Rutland and Patrick Burgess wasn't simming very often at all. Gex looked to have disappeared and was replaced by Jonathan Striker, and two never-simming people called Nee'ko and Adam Socki were assimilated by the Borg.

Back at StarBase Putney was replaced by Striker and a new XO came in, Robert Gauthier, played by another Canadian. Sudders got transferred to a deskjob at StarBase and Hazle's second character, Tanja Lossow, turned up in her first simm outside of the Training School. Putney was now officially AWOL, Gauthier never simmed and Malgin was having trouble keeping up.

He was ushered to StarBase to be replaced by Andrew Brown (Fredrick Von Harld), first of the new Nottingham students Hazle dragged into the fray. Striker was also packed off to the Los Angeles while Ross O'Brien took over Gauthier's character and command of the Rutland. Putney returned briefly before SBL gave up all hope and effectively got rid of both the character and the real person.

Meanwhile an array of other characters turned up, all of whom are still with us today (in some form or other).

The following list is of those who are still members with their current positions (where no other position is given, assume the Falchion): Dawn Hazle, Owner Mk.2 and Moderator: Commander Jora T'brun, CEO; Rear Admiral Tanja Lossow, Commander-in-Chief, SBL; Lieutenant Gary Dimond, COO Philip King: Lieutenant Commander Phil King, CSO Jess LaFleur: Ensign Jess LaFleur, Science Vladimir Malgin: Dr. Vladimir Malgin, SBL James Sudbury: Captain James Sudders, SBL Jonathan Striker: Captain Jonathan Striker, USS Los Angeles Jacques Malan: Martyn Sharkey, somewhere in the Universe Ross O'Brien: Captain Robert Gauthier, CO; Lieutenant Commander Taylor Ternasky, XO; Lieutenant Timothy Walker, COS Andrew Brown: Dr. Fredrick Von Harld, CMO Matthew Spencer: Ensign M'Att, CHO; Bob Smith, CCO/FCS; Eddie Adam Curson: Xanith, ex-COS/CTO; The Penguin Jim Clokey: Lieutenant Ed O'Reilly, COT Tom Mannering: Ensign Wedge Lyall, Engineering Paul Spencer: Mark Turner Simon Vallance: Jason Badden, Catering Jonathan Prior: Lieutenant William Milborrow, CTO
