Am I ready to use the "B" word? Yes! I am! Meet Brendan! When he's not busy shoving me around on the dance floor or making fun of my speech patterns ("there IS a dance tonight!") (why that's so odd, I'm still not sure), he's being dragged along on museum visits, apple picking, on Bagel Sunday outings and backpacking the Adirondacks across some um, colorfully-named mountains.

Brendan is too smart for his own good, really sweet, and damn cute, too.
His biggest fault is that he laughs at my really bad jokes.

This is "Oma," my maternal grandmother. She lives in Soest, the Netherlands, and I recently went to visit her. She is an incredible woman who spends her days creating sculptures and other art, and sometimes goes to the community pool to "swim with the old people." She's almost 90 and still enjoys biking. I love this woman.
