NOTICE OF MOVE

The Beginners Millionaire's Guide
This Guide Updated November 28, 2008!

This guide is designed for people who are new and have no clue what the game is all about.  If you are familiar with marapets this site shall also be used as a point of reference.  Results will vary from user to user!  To use "pet training" as a venue for earning marapoints doing missions, go to the INTERMEDIATE part of this guide at the bottom.

I will emphasize on the fact that Ian has increased rewards in Missions.  Now when you complete a mission you will get as many as 750,000 marapoints PURE.  Some retired items are NOW not requested according to Ian :)

More Information here: Marapets News

To be a Marapet Millionaire is not a rarity, you can be a marapet millionaire within a week if you apply yourself. A MILLION IN A WEEK, you read right. All you need to start is a good 5000 marapoints and a lot of dedication. When I say dedication I don't mean to kill yourself playing; I mean you need to focus!

Click here to visit THE DAILIES PAGE do this everyday!

• You are only a few clicks away from doubling your marapoints to 10k.

• You don't need to be a pro at games. As a matter of fact I rarely play flash games!

• Getting marapoints couldn't be easier when you get 60MP every time you post in the marapets forums.  (make sure you don't spam just to make marapoints)!

• Take advantage of cheap selling Advent Calendar items before they inflate more.  There are plenty of freebies in Marapets, but you have to grab them while you can!

• Keep an eye in the Pot Of Gold!

• If you calculate just the right Dukka coin you can make marapoints selling them I have managed to make 5000 marapoints profit out of one 5-6 dukka coin.

• Do the Missions and Quests responsibly, they are a reliable way to make MP.

• Restock. Restocking couldn't be easier when there is NO such thing as "Half Price" day!

• Take advantage of King Baspinar's rewards and the Charity Shop's half prices!

• Try you luck with Snap, Grave Robbing, Grave Stones and Worm Digging.

Make Marapoints by:

-Selling worms you find.

-Feeding the worms to the Fish in the Aquarium.

-Bidding in the Newth Racing game.

-Selling the clothes you get for free in the Clothing Rack.

-Inflating price on 1MP items. Buy for 1MP, sell them for 12-15 marapoints!

-Selling the Tombolas prizes. You always get a prize in the Tombolas! 1 2 3

-Selling the crystals from Elger, selling the candy fruits from the Candy Tree.

When you are new try to stay away from these because the reward you get from these is sometimes not worth the expense:

Eleka Fountain
Eleka Prison
Troll Missions
Elite Gym
Fasoro Falls (this ride does NOT work on most minipets)*
Leprechaun Quests (unless you want to make Restock Points).

*The Fasoro Falls only works in minipets that have the option to change color.  You wont get one minipet change to another minipet with this.  Check here to see if your minipet can actually change color.  If it doesn't, don't bother you'll be wasting marapoints for nothing.  This ride may also NOT work on fishing game minipets.
Do these Quests, don't go over 3000-4000 marapoints doing them ever:

http://www.marapets.com/santa.php
http://www.marapets.com/farm.php
http://www.marapets.com/candytree.php
http://www.marapets.com/elger.php
http://www.marapets.com/garage.php

DO NOT spend more than 4000 Marapoints in ANY quest. No matter what anyone says. If you're aiming to make MP, DON'T do quests that cost you 4000MP and more. Unless you are aiming for the costumes and Limited Edition pets in the missions, I wouldn't have any exceptions to that rule until you are more experienced.  More info on quests here.

If you must play flash games, these are the ones I recommend which require NONE to very little effort:

Protect The Egg:

Rofling Gold:
http://www.marapets.com/games/flash_game_3006.php
Shoot The Fatty:

Marapet Keeper:

Murfin Chase:

Item Collector:
http://www.marapets.com/games/flash_game_5008.php

1 Restock Point = 10 Marapoints
1 Baspinar Point (you get these by battling) = 10 Marapoints roughly
1 Dukka = Generally 4000 Marapoints

Currencies explained here:  http://www.marapets.com/currency.php

There is yet no way to convert currencies other than the trade post.  The Price Check forum is the best place to ask someone to trade.  You can buy dukka coins from user shops and deposit them in the Dukka Exchange.

There is lots of comotion about the new Robot Minipets Repair quest in Ziranek.  The batteries you need to fix them cost 14k in the Battery Shop.  I have actually stopped restocking these for many reasons.  The price in user shops has actually sometimes deflated below the shop price; so buying the batteries directly from the main shop is non-sense.  Additionally, the benefits DO NOT outweight the risk!  There is no telling how random it is to get a Robot Mini, and if you happen to repair 5 you would have already thrown away at least 50,000 marapoints without telling if you will get a robot at all.  This is an example of the common reward which does not pay for itself.  Robot Reward...

WARNING: The Robot repair IS NOT like the Aquarium and Eleka Prison.  Batteries are very costly, and robots are HARD TO SELL items.  Take into consideration that worms are FREE, and if you manage to stock Minipet food you will get your money's worth 99% of the time (RPs and a Circus Ticket you can sell).  When you repair a robot you will lose about 10k marapoints per each robot.

The Undying Festival has been moved to October and is a GREAT activity for beginners.  I was a newbie (yes only 25 days old) when I completed the Undying Festival in 2007!  Grand prize of a Daisy limited edition pet (not available at any other time of the year) and 100,000MP!

Computer Repair Quest can be found in the MAGIC section below.

If you trust yourself or have experience with other games, take a look at the intermediate guide below, it can't hurt!

After The Million!
(AN INTERMEDIATE GUIDE!)

THE MISSIONS: As of June 2008 the missions are giving better rewards.

Blitzen will ask for random rare items.
Troll will ask for instruments you must teach to your pet.
Clam will ask for Sushi and Pearls.
Ublish will ask for Stars (constellations).
Rusty Twins will ask for cans of food and bones.
Fates will ask for Cooking Ingredients and Poison.
Tarquin will ask for books you must read to your pet.
Trotter will as for DVDs you must let your pet watch.
Trunx will ask for CDs you must let your pet listen to.
Circus will ask for Circus Ticket, balloons, plushies, drinks and pizza.
Fugunzel will ask for charms.  -You can only do this mission if you gathered the pieces of the map to the "hidden" tower of Fugunzel in Eleka Castle's Courtyard.

Blitzen is by far the mission that pays the biggest amount of marapoints.  When you finish it you can get a Viotto Potion and ONE MILLION marapoints.  Other missions will give another type of Limited Edition pet potion with 500,000 marapoints.  And others will give another LE potion and 250,000 marapoints.  Fugunzel is the only mission that requires a Treasure Map so far.

There is a great missions guide in Shera50's marasite.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CHARISMA:

A good number of Pet Jobs require charisma.  There are several levels of charisma and each job requires a certain amount.  There are only TWO ways to earn charisma for your pet:

City Of Marada School - This is where you pet will get an aducation.  Choose a course and make sure you wait 5-10 seconds to get enrolled in a course, soon your pet's instructor will ask for an item from the School Supply Shop.  Make sure you bring the item back for the school lesson to start.  If your pet is lucky he will get charisma at the end of the course when his subject level is awarded.  When you see the confirmation that he has gained a subject level, pay close attention to the TOP of the screen to see if he gained charisma along the way.

Murfin Madness - Let your pet take a ride in this unpredictable and nasty rollercoaster.  Chances of getting charisma out of this nasty ride are very slim, it will require many tries.  Please note the numbers below are based on my experience and are a rough estimate.

5/10 times - Your pet will not enjoy the ride and it will get sick instead.
5/10 times - Your pet will enjoy the ride and happiness will increase.
3/10 times - Your pet will get a consolation prize like a mug or a t-shirt.
1/10 times - Your pet will gain ONE level of charisma.
THE BATTLES: Take benefit of BPs you get when you battle.  It is true making BPs can be an extremely hard task.  Use battles as the quickest way to make BP.

Alcyone has a great guide for battling.  He is an experienced member and another trustworthy source of information.  He has so far the BEST battle guide for Marapets I have ever seen.  Make sure you visit his page here: http://www.marasites.com/?name=Alcyone&page=2 Or go here when Marasites are down: Alcyone's Mirror battle guide

What do you get from BPs?  It takes some time but you can make marapoints if you use BPs successfully.  For example you can only buy the rare items in Rapunzel's Tower with BPs.  You can sell those in your shop and earn marapoints.

MAGIC:  Magic is not necesarily a way to make marapoints but it will help you in battle.  If you learn to heal your pet effectively in battle, you will be able to win and earn BP; which you can later use to buy items in Rapunzel's Tower and sell them in your shop.  The easiest way to get magic is by doing Computer Repair Quests.  But be adviced the computer quests usually asks for the rarer items which are rarely in the shop (people grab them right away).  And they can cost a bundle if you get them from user shops.

This is the Computer Supplies Shop where you can buy most of the items you will need for Computer Repair Quests.  Please keep in mind that you completed a computer repair quest you will get magic for your pet which is very costly and useful in battle but NO marapoints as reward.
THE QUESTS: I have fairly explained quests above in the beginners guide but all quests are not alike.  Some require you to complete something in order for you to gain marapoints or an item in return.

Such is the case of Knutt Knight Quests.  Completing a Knutt Knight quest can get you BPs and Diamonds.  But to be able to complete the quest you need to obtain a Trading Card and battle the opponent on the face of the chosen trading card.  Not to mention you need a trained pet.  If you win, the Knutt Knight will reward you with more BPs and a Diamond!

Other quests that will require you to do something uncommon in other games is the Snowman Quest and Secret Santa which ask you to send a random item to another player.  When they confirm that you have sent the item, then they will reward you with an amount of marapoints.

Another type of quest is the Leprechaun Quest which will ask for random items and will give you RPs in return.  As I said before I wouldn't recommend this quest to a beginner because they can be expensive.  Your marapoint balance will decrease as your RPs will slowly increase.  RPs are useful to buy Poisons and Treasure Maps.  You can only take advantage of these in large quantities.  If you buy Maps with only a couple of thousands of RP you will more likely be losing marapoints rather than making a good investment.  So make sure that you SAVE these points for emergencies.  You can get RPs when you buy stuff in the main shops as well, watch your RP balance increase as you accept!  (same value of the rarity of item being purchased)

ATTENTION!!!  There's a page devoted to the Explorer Quest here!!!
PET TRAINING AND LEARNING RELATED:

Books
will aid you in Tarquin Missions.  There are 30 levels each asking for a certain book.  As the levels get higher, the book that will be asked for will be rarer.  There are some marapoints prizes and some rare items rewarded as you complete each level.  Also a Huthiq potion at the end.  Once you read a book to your pet he learns it forever, and you don't need to read it again.

Musical Instruments
will aid you in Troll Missions, there are also 30 levels to complete asking for a certain instrument.  For every instrument you let your pet learn, his level [experience] will increase by one.  The trick to this mission is that the first time he will ask for level 1 instruments.  The second time he will ask for level 2 (in which case your pet needs TWO lessons with the specific instrument).  The third time you do the mission he will ask for level 3 (an instrument x3) and so on.  Once you teach your pet an instrument it disappears so you need to buy a new one every time!  Each time you complete this mission it does get harder and harder.  There are marapoints prizes and rare items rewarded as you complete each level.  This is the ONLY mission your pet will have to keep learning instruments over an over in order to move further.  Once you finish you will get an Oglue Limited Edition pet potion!

DVDs and CDs will aid you in Trotter and Trunx Missions.  These are similar to books, you only have to show your pet the DVD or listen to the CD once and you will not have to worry about it ever again.  Like the other missions; there are prizes and marapoints for completing each mission level.  And an LE potion at the end (Phanty and Zoink).

Crystals, Diamonds and School Supplies (what are they good for?)
These will aid you in training and schooling your pet.  Training and school is needed if you want to send your pet to earn a living at the Job Centre.  A Job will earn you marapoints EVERYDAY!  Diamonds can be gotten from the Knutt Knight (available when the castle is open every other hour).  Crystals can be gotten from Elger.  And you can get school supplies in the School Supplies Shop.
THE GOALS: When I created this guide originally the goals were not out or if they were, they were new.

The Goals are definitely something a serious user can use to their benefit, as they are a good way to make marapoints.  They are designed to create history in your profile and, as others see your accomplishments hopefully they will take you more serious :)  The goals are NOT for the faint at heart.  Some levels can be extremely challenging.  And they may also require you to complete some VERY HARD Missions.

A good list of prizes you can get from the goals is found in Shera50's Marasite, Shera50 is a Marapets Admin and a trustworthy fountain of information.  Make sure you click on the right goal you need to the left of the page, where it says GOALS:  Shera50's Marasite

The prizes you get from the goals can vary between marapoints, rare items or rare clothing.  A page linking to all the goals can be found here.

PRIZES FROM GOALS AND MISSIONS:

I am not going to list all the items you get from Missions and Goals because Shera50 pretty much covers all of them but a short sample list would be:

Eleka Wig Eleka Teeth Snowball Book
Jar of Eleka Castle Water Underwater Treasure DVD Xor Trading Card
Furry Costume Biala Sword Jar Of Fish Eyes
Ice Costume
Daisy Horns
Rusty Twins Stamps
Fates Book
VooDoo Costume
Slime Costume
Book Of Charms
Jar of Dukka Coins Troit Potion
Eleka Castle Pearl
Clown Shirt
Winged Sword

WHERE TO TRAIN:

City Of Marada School - This is where your pet will get an aducation.  Choose a course and make sure you wait 5-10 seconds to get enrolled in a course, soon your pet's instructor will ask for one or more items from the School Supply Shop.  Make sure you bring these items back for the school lesson to start.  Soon enough (5 hours usually) you can pick up your pet and it will have gained a level on whatever you chose he would learn!

Minipets Isle Gym - Yes this is where you go to use the crystals you got from Elger.  The crystal the gym trainer will ask for is very random I've had all kinds of pets and have chosen all the choices to train, the crystals are entirely random.  You can train your pet level, strength, health and speed here.

Lush Lake Gym - This is where you use Diamonds.  Training in this gym is optional at the beginning, you only need to train here if you are battling with your pet.  You can raise stamina, balance and coordination.  As of today these don't necessairily help much in battle, however there is talk about Maradan Olympics coming soon that will need that status.

MISCELLANEOUS ACTIVITIES:

Activities that you can do to help you get a bit more extra MP, RP, or BP!!!

Pull THAT sword!  I pulled the sword ONCE YEAH!!!  So yeah it does happen.  I was offered the Sword of King Baspinar or the Jackpot.  At the time the jackpot was 152,000 marapoints.  I chose to take the sword instead of the Jackpot and I sold it for about 580,000MP!

Eleka Prison: Feed the Minipets a Jar of food to gain a good amount of RPs and a Circus Ticket!  This is the Minipet Food Shop.

Aquarium: Feed a worm to a fish in the Aquarium.  You will get marapoints and a Scholarship!  You don't know where to get worms?  Go here to find them!

Do Eleka Fountain at your own risk.  I do not use it, that's all I have to say.

ALL OF THIS INFORMATION I GATHERED MYSELF WHILE VISITING THE NEWS AND PERFORMING THE MISSIONS/GOALS; NOT STOLEN FROM ANOTHER SITE OR USER.
