- I read an article in the newspaper (the Chronicle, I think) about a new weapon developed by the American military. A lightning gun of some sort that fires a pulse of high voltage lightning to disable/destroy computers, power lines, and other electrical infrastructure.
So I wonder: we are going to wage war against Iraq to prevent the development of strange, new, weapons, by developing strange, new, weapons?
- I predict that we'll have another war/crisis in 10 years. Bush Senior struck a blow against Saddam back in 1991, but didn't "complete" the job. Now Bush Junior has to go back and bomb Iraq nearly a decade later.
Considering that Junior struck a blow against the Al Qaeda, but hasn't caught bin Laden, does that mean our president in 2010 will have to deal with him?
- Last thought. When Saddam invaded Kuwait, the whole world kicked him out (see the Nuclear Proliferation boxed set). Now Bush wants to invade Iraq, and the whole world is (slowly) turning against him...
