Yes, it's been awhile...but I'll make up for that by having an extremely long entry :-D. (Two-parter!)
May 29, 2005  Approx. 11:00pm

I know the date of this entry and the actual time I put it up are different, but thats because as you read this I was/am typing it at work, and I probably wont have chance to put it up on the site anytime soon.  I figured since I was bored, I would write an entry about things going on lately and about what I do here at work (during a 3rd shift).

Well lets seenew things.  My younger sister turned 13 this month (oh greatshes already acting the part).  Hmwork has been going ok. I havent been getting a lot of hours up until recently, and theyve all been cramped into the weekends.  The past several days have been very chaotic for me. First of all, my car decided to die on me (again) late last week.  I keep taking it into mechanics to have one specific problem fixed/diagnosed (what exactly the problem is I dont know) and they fix everything BUT the problem.  The car should run like a champ since 90% of it is rebuilt and new, but the one problem keeps persisting and causing the car to randomly shut off, slow acceleration, etc. Yes, before you say or think it, most, if not all, of the electrical components of the car have been replaced, including the spark plugs/wires and fuel filter.  I am taking it in Tuesday to hopefully have the problem finally fixed. HOWEVERsince this is going to set me substantially back financially, and since work has not been very forthcoming with hours for me, I have been forced to move back home with my parents.

Now, I dont necessarily begrudge this situation, as I have no problem with living at home for awhile, saving up money, and basically getting room and board for free (well, not for free per say, but for a lot less than when I was out on my own).  I spent more time at home then I did at the house I was staying at for a month and a half.  Eh, Cest la vie.

Not to mention I had an exam this weekend and a friend of mine is visiting from Tennessee. So to recap, my weekend was filled with work, an exam, visiting a friend, and moving things into my parents house. My work schedule made this nearly impossible. Work finally decided to give me a lot of hours, but coincidentally, that same weekend had an exam, no vehicle, a guest, and me moving things back into my parents house. It is the end of the month, so I could not hold off any later than this weekend.  My work schedule was as follows: Saturday 6pm - Sunday 5am, Sunday 6pm - Monday 5am, and Monday 3pm - 11pm.  Yup, Monday was especially rough as I had to go to work 8 hours after I got home form my previous 11 hour overnight shift.

With all this overwhelming chaos, I almost went into a deep panic (actually I sort of did) and just about wept myself into insanity.  I decided, however, that with a little prayer and planning I could sort this mess out, as I hate chaotic order of love it when things are planned out (though Im not completely rigid as I still like a little spontaneity from time to timejust not the bad kind, heh).  So, I made up a schedule in a work document which I will copy and paste for you to read.  Luckily, my car lasted/acted good enough for me to drive it back and forth to work throughout the weekend.  My weekend overall schedule was as follows (I would like to add that I finished taking my things over to my parents house on Sunday, so that freed up some time for me on Tuesday):

Kudos to you if you actually went through and read all of that.  I will post a second-parter to this entry on a different page, as this page is getting to be a little long. Ill give you a walk through of a night in the life of a security guard (not that anyone cares, haha).
