As Do These

Good And Evil
I know I'm crazy, but I've had myself another thought.
Oddly enough, the thought spawned from the observation made that one of our english teachers resembles the cartoon renderings of what the devil supposedly looks like.

It's in this light that I began to think about the Bible. I've heard people say that Satan is the devil because he is evil and lives in hell. However, the devil is the being that has control over hell. Satan has no power over hell. He's just an angel that got demoted from head angel to a lower position doing work on earth for doing wrong in heaven, got even by planting evil within Adam and Eve, and then got banished to hell for it. While he does generally oversee hell, he is not technically the one in control of it. He is the seed of evil that convinces people who are mostly good to do incredible acts of evil. It is then God who decides if these acts are evil enough for them to go to hell. He decides who can go to heaven and who can't. He decides who will get second chances and who won't. So really, God has control of hell. He holds the power over it.

So it kind of makes you wonder, are God and the devil one in the same? Because it's not the devil that is evil, he's just the keeper of evil. Or at least that's how I understood it. I could very well be wrong. But still, certainly gives you something to think about in regards of the way you percieve things, and the old saying that appearances are not what they seem to be. Sort of gives you a different outlook on life in general.

Perfection
For a long time I've said that the human ideal of perfect within the species is an impossibility. That it doesn't exist.
In scientific terms, that's quite true.

You could take it from the perspective that there is too much variation and too many differences so perfection is impossible. No two beings will ever agree on one common ideal. No two beings will ever think, feel, or behave exactly the same.
However, looking at it in a different scientific manner, it is still impossible.

In biology, there is what is know as the "perfect flower" and the "imperfect flower".
A perfect flower is one that has both male and female parts, while an imperfect one has either or.

Maybe that's what does it with the human race.
We constantly struggle to understand the opposite sex. While many of us will come to have some sort of understanding of the opposite sex, we can never fully understand what it is to be the opposite sex unless we lived it.

Maybe perfection isn't a fit mold. Maybe perfection comes in the understanding.
To be perfect is to fully understand. The more you take the time to understand those around you, the closer to perfect you become.

Muse
Everyone has their muse. For me, it's life. The music, the laughter, the ranting, the pain, the sorrow, the grief, the fear, the freedom, the love, the hope, the joy, and the utter despair of existance. These things all make the whole, and we all have them at times. But they shape us. They help make us who we are. They proove that we are living, or at the very least alive. This is life, and no matter what else happens, it is the greatest source of inspiration, and the greatest source of ourselves. What lies within us, our life, that is the greatest adventure.

Sickness
Everyone has their time when their sickness shows. It may leave them with many sleepless nights because it has yet to expose itself, but once it does you are left volnerable and raw. Everyone's day will come, the question is, what will you do? Will you mock the exposure, or will you befriend them, learn to see that it's life, and learn the beauty within them? With exposure comes everything. It may show your sickness, but it also shows your self. There's no hiding it when you break. It all comes out, pours from you like blood. There's no controlling it. It just hapens, and quite suddenly, there you are. It all boils down to what people will choose to see.
