About the musicians:

Dave Buehrer began singing and playing guitar professionally with a band after high school, and played with them for several years throughout the Tri-state area. In addition to cover bands, Dave also played and recorded with the DisMissed - an original alternative rock band. It was in this band that he began writing music. Dave has also performed solo and in an acoustic duo with his wife, Jennifer. He currently teaches guitar lessons and continues to write and record music.

Jennifer Buehrer is the only member of MannaFest whose musical experience has not been as part of a band. Jennifer has done musical theater and performed in choirs and solo for about 15 years. She has toured both the Midwest and parts of Europe with choirs, and in June 2001, she performed at Carnegie Hall with the Albion College Concert Chorus. She comes from a musical family, and she dedicates all her MannaFest performances to the memory of her mother, Lynn Hill, whose bright voice and cheerful encouragement has kept her singing all her life.

Bob Huffman strummed his first guitar at the tender age of twelve and he hasnt put it down since! Throughout his musical career he has played and recorded in numerous settings including school jazz bands, pit orchestras, top 40 dance bands, rock bands, bluegrass, and show bands. Bob studied guitar performance at Musicians Institute of Technology in Hollywood California and later earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. In addition to performing with MannaFest, Bob works full time as a music therapist in Lansing.

Tracy Huffman has been a vocalist in bands since 1984, performing throughout the Midwest and also Boston and Atlantic City.  After graduating from Michigan State University, she went on to attend Boston University School of Theology. Tracy is now serving as a minister in Ann Arbor.

Jim McKinsey plays bass guitar and upright bass. He has played a variety of musical styles over the past years, from rockabilly, swing, rock & roll, rhythm & blues to "show band" material. He also provides some harmony vocal work for MannaFest. Jim mostly enjoys playing live and collecting vintage instruments.

Kyle Rasmussen plays drums, bongos and congas for the band. He's had varied musical experiences, including playing in bands and for community theater. In addition to MannaFest, he has recently backed up a local female vocalist trio on their CD and in performances. Professionally, Kyle works as a psychologist/therapist. A music enthusiast, he also enjoys varied outdoor and sports activities. Kyle would like it to be known that he will drum for "manna."
