This picture was taken in November, 2002. I was on crutches at the time, so while I was on the shore trying to take pictures, I did a lot of crawling around. When I was sitting, and the swans were standing, we were the same height. If you've never seen a Trumpeter Swan up close, they're HUGE! This is one of the cygnets who wanted a closer view of what I was doing.
