My musical influences range from Nirvana and Pearl Jam to The Doors, Rage Against the Machine to Neil Young, Tool to 2Pac...the list goes on and on. When I'm not making new riffs for the band, I do what every other guitarist does and play what others have already written. The song I like to cover most is definitely Neil Young's "Rockin' in the Free World." The first time I heard it was when Pearl Jam covered it on MTV Unplugged, and even though the solo sucked (it was an acoustic solo!), it was still a great version. Besides hearing the original version countless times since then, I've also heard Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) and Jacob Esterline (Blue Karma) live the emotion of the song. Now I try and lead Manifest into adding its own peice onto it. "It has to start somewhere, It has to start sometime, What better place than here, What better time than now." - Zack De La Rocha
