It's eleven o'clock in Western Washington...do you know where your car is?
Fall, 2003

Well, isn't that special for YOU...now could you help us find Gregory's?  We left it at 10th and Pine on Cap Hill, next to the KFC   (the chicken restaurant, not the freakin' grocery store!).  Nevermind, we'll find it
OURSELVES!!!

Hello, duckies, we're back!  It's Fall 2003, and in a few short weeks the Manhattan Tallulahs will be celebrating the first anniversary of our Arrival
on the West Coast.  It's been a busy summer, as most summers are up here.  Puget Sound folks know the meaning of making hay while the sun shines, and shine it has.  Summer weather, after life in the Sun Belt, is truly loverly.  Without a doubt, the highlight event this summer culminated in was Khoa and Tracy's wedding...Gregory still wants the traditional Vietnamese costume the groom wore at the reception, and Mel is sure she gained at least ten pounds at said event.  My God, the food!  A wonderful night, and a great kick-off for a faboo life together for Mr. and Ms. Tra...a heartfelt congratulation to you kids.  We wish you all the best (even though Gregory is not speaking to Khoa).

This summer has also been one of growth and transition.  Gregory has been exploring new corners of Seattle, travelling a bit via the Internet as
well as the Washington State Ferries  (that is NOT a typo...I'm talking about the boats).  He has also exploring his art, his inner tranquility  (with the Dharma Bhuddies), and Volunteer Park, escorted by none other than the Venerable Usagi-chan, without a doubt the world's most immaculate Rabbit. I'm glad he keeps Usagi Yojimbo, Junior with him to fend off the unsavory...of which there are plenty at that venue.  Nothing like a tearoom full of trolls to blemish your otherwise delightful day.  Go go Booboo...thump the sickbitch!
Then there's Mel, still living in the Purgatory that is Everett...I have a true love-hate relationship with this town.  Since being released from contract locally, I have had the opportunity to commute to and work in Seattle Proper, and am finding out what fun can truly be.  For all of youse back down in Texas, let me tell you...public transit that works is much more fun than road rage.  Let somebody else drive and take a powernap.  My kudos to Grant back in Austin for hooking me up in Seattle, and if you Austin folks get a chance, check him out in his band, the Daylight Titans.  And buy 'em a drink  (p.s. I love the acronym, Grant.  You rock on, baby!).

And now on to more Recent News:  The Manhattan Tallulahs
have been to Rucker's Tomb.  Accidentally.  It happens to be in the graveyard we went to last weekend to use my friend's Ouija board the other night.  Note to self:  Next time you find yourself at a seance, have some decent questions to ask.  One of the old boys we sat next to deigned to talk to us, but our questions were so moronic, by the third one he told us "F U."  So someone who died in Everett in 1901 is just as cranky as the current populace.  Nice!  But I don't blame him.  SH 526 now runs past his final resting place, which sux for him.  He doesn't exactly have the option to sell the condo and move to Mercer Island, okay?

Bye for now, duckies.  I'll have to update again after the
holidays...but in the meantime, the Manhattan Tallulahs will be concentrating on killing Moose and Sqvirrel.  Fearless Leader vill be pleased.
