HI!!! I'm Nellie B. Padillo, a native of Matacla, Goa, Camarines Sur in the Bicol Region.
I finished my secondary education at St. Paul Academy in Goa, Camarines Sur. During my
high school days i was one of the star in sports. I love volleyball and ping-pong.
I used to be a captain ball especially during intramurals . My favorite subjects are
Science and Math, but what I love always is "recess" Guess What?....because
my Auntie will always ask to bake cake even when I have classes. Anyway, I cannot refuse,
since they are the ones who sponsored my education - meaning "pa-aral nila ako."
During my college days, I worked as a Baby-Sitter in the daytime and study Management
at the University of Nueva Caceres (UNC) In Naga City.Unluckily I didn't finish it since
I tried to look for a job. But again my earning is not enough. I didn't work as what
secretary does.
In 1982-85, I worked as a Cashier/Billing Clerk. I'm married that time and I already
have my sweet cutie little angel "BHING". How I love and cherish her as she
is my life. I have tried to live in normal way, though financially incapacitated.
I worked hard to earn for our living. My husband is working but on seasonal basis.
So, during off season he has no job. The only way to survive is to have a small
business in our house, a "sari-sari store". As years go by, many obstacles
came to our life. A fight occured between me and my husband whic led to our separation.
Bhing was just 5 years old then. I decided to part ways with him since he is not worth
living with.
Finally, Bhing and I decided to live in Manila, in my sister's house. From there, I
tried to find job. Luckily, from 1985-1990,I was hired as an Inventory Clerk at
Perpetual HelpMedical Center in Las Pinas, Metro Manila.
Year 1990, I came here in Sharjah-UAE as a housemaid with 2 years contract. After
I finished my contract, I went back to the Philippines and stayed there for 2
months. Again, I went back to Sharjah on a housemaid's visa. Alas, after all
the trials and with the help of our Almighty Father in Heaven, I joined the
Ladies Club of Al Wasl Hospital in Dubai. Until this time, I am with the
Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS).
Right now, I am living in al Wahda Street in Sharjah-UAE with daughter Bhing who is
also taking up this course of Web Design.
